Garden River

The Garden River First Nation is situated on the boundary between the Precambrian Shield and the West St. Lawrence Lowland physiographic provinces (46/03'N - 84/05'W). It is approximately ten miles long and ten miles inland and located along the North Shore of the St. Mary's River in the District of Algoma in Northern Ontario, Canada. The City of Sault Ste. Marie lies immediately west and the Village of Echo Bay can be found to the east. It is also immediately north of the international border between Canada and the United States.

History

Welcome to the Silver Creek Golf Club located in the heart of the great lakes on the Garden River First Nation.  The course, entering it's 3rd year of operation, is one of 180 courses designed by one of the world's leading design teams. The Arthur Hills team has also renovated more than 120 courses including Oakmont and Oakland Hills, two of the finest courses in the United States.

The courses in North America, Europe and Asia are some of the most challenging and unique layouts golfers will encouter. Bay Harbor, located in Petoskey, Michigan is certainly one of Michigan's top public courses recently ranked 36th in all of the United States for a public course.

This Arthur Hills designed 18 hole championship layout is one of northern Ontario's longest courses, with a par of 72 and measuring from the championship black tees 7435 yards.  This course has been assigned a G.A.O. (Golf Association of Ontario) slope rating of 138
